Phil and I worked together at Rank where he was running a large, complex and business critical technical change programme for Grosvenor Casinos. I was running the rest of the delivery portfolio and to have someone of Phil's calibre and experience handling that programme was an absolute blessing, because it meant that I knew it was in very safe hands. I had the pleasure to manage Phil in two roles whilst at CEVA. Initially he was introduced into the Northern European Infrastructure Director role and subsequently I was fortunate to move him into a role heading up Global Infrastructure Projects and Programme’s. In both roles Phil showed immense maturity and professionalism, delivered much and was a real team player. He was not afraid to make decisions, drove and owned improvement Programme’s and created a great Programme Office.
